Siv Sands - Immersive Technologist
My overall goal in my work is to make the viewer feel something. Whether that is happiness, nostalgia, disgust, wonder, or amusement; I want to explore the full spectrum.
I am a film kid turned technologist with a passion for experimental filmmaking and installation art. I am a freelance disguise Operator and disguise certified Fundamentals Trainer. My previous position was as the Head of Media Server Technology at Illuminarium Experiences. Before that I was an Immersive Technologist with that same company for almost two years. Throughout college I worked as a wedding video editor, but had also participated in narrative, experimental, and documentary film editing as well. In May of 2020 I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Film and Television and a minor in Producing for Film and Television. In my spare time I enjoy foraging for mushrooms and camping in my van!
